We had a new kitchen designed and fitted by WARD GREEN KITCHENS, every step overseen by sole owner Steve, the standard of work from start to finish was exceptional, we, of course, had numerous quotes from all the big guns and quite frankly felt a little pressured on certain aspects of design and price, we were told by a family friend to give Ward Green Kitchens a try and straight away the vibe was on point to where we wanted to be, we would reccomend Steve wholeheartedly, first class service and supplied at a price that created the budget to have a kitchen and a holiday when the work was done.
My mum had an Ikea kitchen at one of her previous houses and it's probably the best kitchen she'd had. That was probably a decade ago now but it was incredibly good value and the designers in store were very thorough and rigorous. One caveat though, and I say this loosely, but I had a feeling they'd dropped the wood content in the doors and the finish had become more plastic based. I can't recall where or when I came across that snippet but I'm sure there was some negative of Ikea kitchens in more recent times.
That could well be true because it's a few years since I've had anything to do with an IKEA kitchen to be fair, I just remember they used to be really good but it's longer ago than I realised I think.
100% endorse this. Steve and his team are the best craft/skilled people we've ever had the satisfaction of working with.
We wanted a new kitchen with laminate floor laid and some extra bits of electrical work. Went to Wren first who would only quote for the kitchen dry fit without electrics or floor laying despite us already having the flooring. Ended up at Kirby’s with a great job done including everything we wanted and cheaper than the dry fit only from Wren.
I found Wren competitively priced if you use your own fitter and dint buy the quartz from them. They behaved very reasonably, didn’t feel any pressure to use them after we’d had our design appointment. Units come pre-made, solid quality, one year after fitting we had a chip on one of the doors, they sent replacement with no quibble or cost. Don’t know what finance they’re currently offering but we got it interest free over 4-5 years which made it even more attractive from them.
Went to Wren and found the same. Would avoid them personally. Did here bad things about quality after doing more research.
