That's only the guidance though. The actual statutory legislation is here: The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (All Tiers) (England) Regulations 2020 (legislation.gov.uk)
Have you seen this? Police entered a house where they suspected there were non-family members - which there weren't, then proceeded to assault a 12 year old girl with epilepsy.
It’s ok going walking in the same county I know it was only 5 miles but it’s still travelling into a different county
Think you're confusing this with what they were told in Wales recently if i remember right. Despite my views on lockdown, it is bang out of order the police throwing their weight around like this when there is no legal definition of acceptable local distance. They need to wind their necks in and the law makers need to stop the ambiguity that is leading to this.
Yep see it but unless the idiot's in charge have changed the rules I'm pretty certain I did see a statement where it did state to & from home, about a week ago. Had a conversation a couple of days ago with the wife & she said you can travel after looking it up ont interweb, guess the rules have changed.
Not defined, because that's only guidance as well. You can't be prosecuted just for contravening guidance.
Just absolute nonsense and a money making exercise. The chance of either of them infecting anybody was miniscule. That's the "spirit of the lockdown" - to prevent more cases. Completely lacking in common sense and suggesting a coffee is a picnic is just ******* stupid. We're really scraping the barrel for police in this country.
We have coppers parked up at the big roundabout outside Kendal pulling folks heading in to the Lakes. Ms Patel organised a clampdown?
This is what happens when there's no football fans to bully and chase through the courts for petty banning orders.
To be fair only John is and he did say they should have more important things to be on with. People are condemning it on the whole.
My mate lives near Chesterfield in Derbyshire. His girlfriend was just driving to the park this morning with their 9 month old son to meet her mum for a socially distances walk around the park. The police down there have pulled her up, threatened her with a £200 fine and forced her to go home.
