Looks onside to me when the ball is hit either way, but I don't think the keeper could have a case for him blocking his vision.

If you honestly thought that then you must have been sat in your seat **** faced. A few posters on this forum do appear to blame the referees every game, conspiracy against Barnsley, never our fault etc.

Seems a silly statement to me, that. I don't think you could say Collins was involved in the goal, for example.

From that it appears the keeper is claiming Cole (who tries to get a touch on the ball) is impeding his vision. Cole is definitely onside however. Andersen is the only one who could be in an offside position, but is out of the keepers eyeline.

If you follow the shadow of the crossbar no.9 is playing everyone onside.

Just this - the only player who may have been in an offside position when the ball is kicked is Mads but he wasnt interferring under the current rules
Also this is one area when the current rules are an improvement on the old ones
I remember seeing some excellent goals ruled out when a player no where near the play was in an offside position in the past.

Agreed. It's one of the few times when the current rules are the better option.

I can't tell if Mads is offside. It's tight, he might just be off but he might be on. But he's definitely not interfering with play. He is not between the keeper (or any other player) and the ball so doesn't restrict their view, he makes no attempt to get the ball, he doesn't obstruct anyone in their attempt to get the ball, and he actually runs away from the area the ball is travelling to. It's a perfect example of why 'not interfering with play' was included in the rule.

Theres no way the lino on the West Stand side could give Mads offside there, he was in line with no.9 who would have blocked the lino's view of him.
In any event I still maintain Mads was on anyway, judging from the picture above.
