I thought McGheehan’s ban was deserved at the time (I posted so on here). I think this deserves a ban too. This is worse than Cam’s.

Conor should have been banned for that. I’m glad he wasn’t because bias, obviously, but he intentionally stood on someone’s foot to wind them up after them being booked. I think he maybe got away with it because he was looking in the opposite direction so you can’t prove he knew that’s exactly where the guy’s foot was (although we all know he did). McGeehan’s I thought was likely an accident as he already had the momentum. Kachunga’s had to be deliberate as he came along after and then almost carefully stood on him. Of the three, that one is easiest to prove that it was malicious.

You do realise that there are studs at the front of a boot .
    Near the toes .

I think your choice of word 'carefully' would be why I think it was not a sending off offence. also the admittance of bias too :)

At the end of the day, in the rules of the game (like them or not) it’s a red card and a ban. If it wasn’t seen at the time, a suspension can be retrospectively applied. Normally I wouldn’t actually care that much, we’ve already played them, what does it matter, you can’t retrospectively put them down to 10 men. However, in this case I care, because not having their star striker for 3 games could very well be what we need to bring them into the mix properly.

I mean ‘carefully’ as in ‘took care to purposely stand on his back’ and not as in ‘delicately’. Not much point denying bias, no one going out of their way to post in this board doesn’t have any in terms of whether they ‘want’ their player to sneakily get away with something or not, it doesn’t mean they think they ‘should’.

Not sure why you are arguing this. He took a couple of steps before he got to Mads. He did it intentionally it wasn’t unavoidable.

It felt like it at the time. And there was definite bias towards the big teams.

Happened right in front of me. Kachunga had been moaning all the second half and had a few offsides and throw ins given against him. When Mads went down he almost made a bee line for him and deliberately stepped on him, he then had a go at the linesman because he didn't get the decision and gestured to the crowd. He wasn't even battling with Mads for the goal kick (I think that was Campbell or Mounier - the tussle was nothing to do with Kachunga)

It was 100 percent pre meditated. Throw the book at him.

I have viewed it again. Kachunga could have pulled up well before he got to Mads. His action was deffo premeditated and should be punished if only to persuade others not to do the same.
