We'll see how that goes. Their club ownership seems to change hands on a raffle basis.

It's the fans I feel sorry for. The proper ones. The ones who just want stability at their club and for them to be competing at a good level again. They don't deserve the ***** that has gone off at boardroom level over the last few years. Similarly, our fans didn't deserve the absolute shambles that was our relegation season last year. The way our club was completely neglected was criminal.

I dont get the ill feeling some of their fans have towards us; we're not the enemy, their anger should be directed at the fly by night merchants who keep taking over their club, the EFL who keep enabling it to happen, and even Dave Whelan who despite apparently loving the club, was happy to sell it down the river to the highest bidder, regardless of their intentions. But it's a small minority I reckon who do blame us. Probably the Internet keyboard warriors who don't attend games.

I hope they sort themselves out, as I don't take any pleasure in someone else's club going to the wall. No proper football fan would.

Have any Wigan fans actually blamed us for anything? Seen a fair bit of them getting salty about us appearing at the points deduction appeal after the Struber escape, but all blame from Wigan fans has squarely been pointed at successive ownership groups from what I can see.

Fingers crossed the new owners are a consortium of the Oystons and Bassini

Sorry, I meant Oostend, always had time for McGeehan, had his demons/struggles but once fit and in the right place was a good player for us IMHO.

The main issue is that footballers get paid too much money in general and the suits in charge don't wish to do owt about it.

Such a shame all this.....new owners every other season, points deductions non payments for players and very frustrated fans.
Not sure when new season starts but new ownership won't be a quick fix and who pays the players then?
I think new owners have to pay have to guarantee 3 x months, so do the EFL pay them interim wages...I don't know.
    .but its a mess.

I've previously had "disagreements" with Wigan fans who think its all our fault despite their accounts showing losses in several successive seasons. They wouldn't accept that they were overspending at all...

I don’t want them to go out of business, just languish in the conference for a few decades

Yeah I think there were some of them on the Bbc messages section last season. Coming up with the hahaha, this is karma, you get what you deserve etc, type of comments, when they were promoted and we were relegated.
It might indeed be just a small minority, but it's still ridiculous from a set of fans who won't admit that their club was wrong.

I was having a read into the bidder last night. He tried to buy Morecambe but failed the EFL owners test.

hes 21 years old and there appears to be no substance to his ‘wealth’ once digging has been done into his company at companies house….

If this is all they have to fall back on, Wigan are in deep doo doo

He looks like an absolute chancer! Reminds me of the teenager who tried to buy Aldershot, failed to show any funds, then narrowly avoided prison.

So, he will easily pass the EFL fit snd proper test!
Good luck Wigan...they really should be blaming us, we are all to blame.
