    I'm with you on that one, when he use to come with his mrs to visit his mother in law who was a neighbour of ours when i was growing up i got to have a kick around with him in the back garden, I also use to love to watch Stewart barrowclough play

    Maybe not my all time Barnsley hero but always admired Gerry Taggart so it was hard to play it cool when one evening a lad who was on a night out with us brought him along shortly after he retired - met him a few times after that as well, top bloke.

    I think John Hendrie, although I started watching them when I was 4 or 5 in the promotion then premiership season so they were all heroes. Always liked Darren Barnard as well.
