I agree mate, but keeping Mowatt is key now. Looks a bit thin otherwise

My preference would be that Mowatt stays. I like and rate James, but he simply wasn't our player. Therefore, I'm quite happy if we retain the four players mentioned.

Aggreed, I like Mowatt, keeping him would be a big positive from me.

Don’t forget Matty Wolfe as well. He’ll either come back firing or be another Paul Digby.

Preston bid for whiteman rejected say Darren Moore to radio sheffield lot.

If Mowatt is not going to sign a new contract sell him and stick a bid in for whiteman I say

Seems like Doncaster are holding out for 3m+. If we’re willing to bid for him, we should be putting that money towards Mowatt’s contract instead.

Still think we’ll miss James, can’t expect to lose him and replace him with Kane / Palmer / Sibbick and not see a drop in quality. Can understand it if not extending makes a new contract for mowatt possible along with the new signings though.

You’re probably right, I don’t know their squad intimately so was wondering if they may have a Mowatt type player who is adaptable at both positions and maybe been playing further up the pitch to accommodate Whiteman playing DM.
