I've made my position clear on this, if we are referring to Winnall. I understand people having a different position to me. If Hecky decided to do it, then I wouldn't boo him or treat him differently to any other player. We would be putting him in the shop window though, for Wednesday to make a massive profit on our measly return. As my father grew up in Staincross & the Rimmingtons were family friends (and was trained by Norman as an electrician just after he retired from goalkeeping at the pit), I cannot forgive his actions & would rather us sign someone else. The club is bigger than my personal feelings to a player, so I'll have to accept it if we do.
My hero when he was here I loved everything about him but he's burnt his bridges with the way he moved. Let him rot .
Despite how utterly desperate we are for exactly his type of player... I wouldn't want him back. There is room for a certain amount of pride and principle in football and his departure, coupled with his celebration after scoring at Oakwell in April... plus his apparent attitude behind the scenes whilst here. Let's not go there.
Honestly if you are getting your hopes that Winnall could possibly be coming back get ready to be disappointed, look at the way he left the club. He's never coming back here.
