Hammill has played his best football in a red shirt and in doing so has given us all some great memories. In years to come, we'll all be telling out grandkids about a player who single-handedly destroyed Leeds, left but then returned to Oakwell and turned our season from nightmare to fantasy football, finishing up with two amazing goals at Wembley.

He's 30 now, but we need to keep him on the books. He's not had the best of seasons, but he proved yesterday that he still has the passion. As his pace drops off, he could easily adapt to a centre mid role, and would be an asset regardless of which level we're in.
