I thought we would be relegated, in actual fact we have been a lot better than I expected especially defensively. I think the lack of goals will see us go down though.

How does the FanZone meet those expectations?

    Depends when.

When we were promoted, a hope of us learning from our mistakes, keeping a team together & thus competing in lower mid table.

After the transfer window shut it's nailed on relegation. All facts, history and reason point to it.

I’m not totally convinced we will go down but there’s a very good chance we will, which was unnecessary.

Like you say, logic suggests we will

Unless we have an intervention in January of the McBurnie type (not the Knassmuller) then I can't see anything but considering our weakness at fullback & lack of options up front.

Although, saying that, we nearly managed to stay up last time despite appointing a fella who basically lied on his LinkedIn so maybe we're hoping we scrape through.

It is of course not possible to say will 100% go down. 3 teams may be worse than we are or achieve les points at any rate. Sadly I have very little confidence this will be the case.

Consistently in the bottom 10 but not in the bottom 5 from the start of the season.

I’m now getting slightly worried that we are already in the bottom 3 and playing catch up to Luton,Millwall, Wigan and Charlton, teams I thought at the end of last season we would be better than this season.

I'm not a fan of olives, but was hoping that the George Spicer Olive Bar would have been up and running this season. That would have been a real statement of intent by the owners and would have made us so much more attractive to potential new signings. Sadly it was not to be and we're all left contemplating what might have been, whilst circling around the Championship plug hole. Again.

That's coz it's actually not the great league... Two or three decent signings in the summer especially up top and we would have probably been ok..

    1.Finish in the bottom third.

2.The BBS to go into meltdown every time we lose by the odd goal or two against a team, who on paper should stuff us.

Staying in this league can be out of your hands. You can do your very best to be relegated but find that other clubs pip you to it. You can see your goalkeeper and third choice centre half walk away, out of contract, and follow this up by selling your two first choice centre halves, thus ensuring you have rid yourself of the heart of the meanest defence in the entire football league. You can then sell your top goalscorer on the eve of the season opener and replace him with a kid. You can fail to address the weak areas in your team like left back or bring in adequate cover in areas where you are light like central midfield. You can fill the squad with players who don't appear to be either wingers or strikers (what is Chaplin?) You can struggle all season, fail to score in game after game, culminating in a paltry points tally but find there were three teams even worse than you.

One thing we have got is the players seem to care.

Staying up was my realistic goal. Anything else would be a bonus.

    I’m still confident we will.

To finish no lower than 4th bottom. And I'm still confident we can achieve that.

After we sold Liam Lindsay and Ethan pinnock I changed from comfortable mid table to relegation.
