The point you’re probably making is they might as well let us run it. I can invest nothing and run it equally as well or badly as them.
Another problem is Duff is coach not manager and i believe has nothing to do with buying or selling players. I believe that we have to have a manager but the board refuse to apparently
I expected nothing different from a bunch of tight fisted charlatans tbh. We should basically just write this season off, then. A full season of watching that forward line, a midfield that just pases it sideways and a coach already looking like he's aged 10 years. In the third tier after the worst season in living memory. Brilliant stuff. Thanks a ******* lot BFC.
My brother and I were having this exact discussion the other day. I guess the only issue with a bunch of fans running BFC is that most of us on here are probably not in a position to give up our day jobs and put 50-60 hours a week into running the club. But the fact that none of us are billionaires wouldn't make a blind bit of difference, bearing in mind that the current board seem determined not to put a penny of their own money in. They could, but choose not to. Most of us just can't. But the net result would be the same.
Its not though is it patrick left much of the profits from player sales like conor mawson etc and then there was the 7million stones sell on. These have put nothing of there own in but they never said they planned to. Patrick got alot of criticism by many posters on this thread. Not putting enough in,no ambition etc. The current lot have really made me lose touch with the club and that transfer window.. pathetic
I wonder what all those who renewed season tickets expected. As we know this forum isn't representative of our fan base at all. How many would have thought we would challenge for the play offs at least? If we do stumble to a poor mid table finish will the support remain?
I expected loans and frees, but I at least hoped the overall activitiy would make sense. When Cadden signed, I expected Styles to be sold, not loaned out at the very last minute. When the coach said a RWB and a striker were a priority, I didn't expect us to pay a transfer fee on a central midfielder, and bring in a loan of a defender who, it appears, hasn't played much at wing back. Hopefully some favourable details of the Styles deal will come to light, but the club need to look at what has happened there. We've reportedly turned down 1.5m bids for him in January, and now we're loaning him out. Inability to convert interest in Helik into a sale until the last minute is also poor.
