I occasionally drop on something slightly and remotely funny. He's been on another day trip has Naughty Nigel to the coast again. And to be fair, these circular arguments on here are getting me through the day at the minute. Long may they continue.
Wasn’t me, it was Trixter (Well I did quote it in a response to it but that’s getting a bit Inception)
There’s no ‘debate’, you’re incapable of debate, you instantly resorted to name calling, ignored the simple maths and your only slither of hope is that no one else understands the difference between ‘income’ and ‘wealth’. but do carry on - it’s quite fun
I did see his outrage that the police visited the Farage residence last night to talk to him about leaving the house without good reason...
The other week you claimed you were a key worker because the concrete/stone you were producing was vital for building projects. That's also not a key worker
In the interest of fairness - I've seen some right nonsense posted by people about who is and isn't a 'key worker'. I know fook all about quarrying / landfill but then I'd guess @Trickster Two Six knows a similar amount about my work - lets leave it up to the experts to decide what infrastructure needs to keep running for the country to not collapse eh.
We all have different opinions though don’t we ? I don’t know any billionaires to draw up any experience from. But I do know a few folk who’d rather not work than work. When I joined this forum I missed the bit about only getting upset about what everyone else gets upset about, also the bit where you can only express opinions that the majority of the board will agree with. I feel vindicated in my objection to Corbyn following the election result and the ongoing cleansing of the labour party, particularly since Starmer has apologised for antisemitism in the labour party and the way it was ignored. But I got dogs abuse in here for months. Similarly my objection to James McClean and the abuse I got for that, only for him to recently tweet a picture of himself dressed as an IRA terrorist wearing a black balaclava. We’re not all the same, we don’t all get upset by the same things, wouldn't this forum be a lesser place if we were only to post that which we were in broad agreement with ?
Both waste management and utilities are key workers. Without their supply/disposal chains neither could happen. Those routes are therefore by proxy as it were included as key workers under those categories. We’re not in the front line certainly, but those sections of the front line relevant to our business couldn't operate without us being here in the supply chain.
Name calling ? What have I ever called you thats derogatory ? I’m still waiting for you to explain how you know that the amount of income lost due to furlough is directly proportional to cost savings being made during lockdown which means that those furloughed are necessarily no worse off. ??
If someone else interjected to have a go re the name calling, it’s not my imagination is it. Just a shame that @Tekkytyke thought it was me that’d done it and not you. I’m sorry if you’re offended because either you overstretched your finances or you’re bullsh itting, nowt I can do to help you
We use words like nip, spadge, son, fatha when greeting/speaking to each other every day at work. All part of the language and banter. None are derogatory or name calling. So again, where have I called you anything derogatory ?? My finances are my business, tightening my belt during furlough means better controlling how we spend/save our disposable income. You still haven't explained how being on reduced income but with less opportunity to spend necessarily means your no worse off. You’re only no worse off if its proportional. I don't know what you do for a living but your talent for avoiding directly answering a question lends me to think you’d be good in the house of commons. But as usual with you we go round in circles because you just don’t know when to admit that you’ve got it wrong. I haven't called you any names nip.
And to the rest of the world, y'know, the 'intelligent' ones, who understand the tiniest bit about language - it looks very different
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Still stubbornly deflecting and now trying to take offence where there’s none to be found. And insulting my intelligence to boot, mind you I expected no less having lost the debate you resort to playground tactics. What next sticking your tongue out. You’re boring me now Donny, doubtless you’ll need to have the last word. Ta ta for now nip.
The government list of key workers is what is a key worker surely? Quarry manager isn't on there from what I can see despite it being an important job in general. It's nothing against you at all I'm just getting a bit frustrated by people saying 'oooo I'm lucky enough to still be at work so I am therefore a key worker. Aren't I important. Nah mate you work as an online estate agent. Or sorry pal you night think you're a key worker because you're an architect who goes to the office every day. In reality you're designing houses that could wait. Even the official list of key workers is too big for me. A teacher who is currently sat at home by definition can't be key can they? Somebody who works in a chippy is officially a key worker I think. In reality it's a luxury
