Wigan managed to find a new buyer, weve sold over 11k season tickets potential is there but the leaches at the top just want to take take take.
Exactly this , Blackpool had potential owners in the background during their dispute from a fan conglomerate to the owner they have now and others in between. No one has even expressed an inquiry about taking us over let alone an interest and James didn’t want it and that’s why Patrick searched high and low for an owner . Before we start hounding our owners we need to know the alternatives otherwise admin could creep up on us and I don’t see anyone getting us out this time at least for football in the town reasons .
To be honest, all I've got to do is use money generated from player sales to pay for it. Trouble is, the players are worthless at the minute thanks to the current regime.
The players are worthless because they are playing like donkeys. Even in a sh it system players should be able to do the basics right.
Im all for new owners coming in. It's clear the current owners are not put any money into the club so it doesn't need billionaires to bank roll us to follow the current model. However someone would need to have the money to buy the current shares out. Thats the question. Who is prepared to buy out the 50% or whatever of shares from them? Interestingly enough, we will probably be worth much less in 4 Months time so might be a bargain by then.
Based on what smaller fan base, play in a rugby stadium. The rugby league team are a bigger attraction.
I suppose people are thinking that if we don't change anything then nothing changes... Considering the lies, the half-truths and the false dawns, the 21 word statement, the 750k and the 2 wins from 22 matches, is it any wonder people want them out?
Local millionaire dave whelan bankrolled it when he left they have struggled racking ip debt and almost going under. Didnt they take less than 20k to a f.a cup semi and not much more to the final their attendance in the prem were very poor. Rugby town i disagree that its a more attractive club than ours.
They were in the PL for ages firstly because a rich fan spent alot money getting them there and keeping them there and secondly because the people who bought Wigan from him tried to carry on doing the same but couldn't afford to and when the bills started to roll in the slammed to club into admin. They aren't a better option unless whoever buys them does what Dave Whelen did.
