Yes the worst fans are always fans that go to watch 21 games in the first half of the season I just look at things I'm a cold way. On this match its not me who they should be worried about. The head coach isn't too happy with things too. He'll be all over the weaknesses of the team. I've seen these players perform well, I've seen them all perform poorly. It will take a lot of time to forget that FA Cup game last year. Stood in the rain. Awful awful awful. If you were there you know what I mean. There was others too. Don't forget Crewe away. The traveling support even got thanked by the captain questioning our support. Lovely guy. I can't wait for January and the away games to start. Nottingham. Fulham. Blackpool and maybe Rotherham. Do I strive for improvement. YES and I'll be stopped that. I want Barnsley to move up the table. Why should we be happy with 12 in December? The club needs all the fans it can get. But the ones that travel like I do shouldnt be ashamed to say our opinion by the likes of you.
Now I'm certainly not claiming to be the best Barnsley fan in the world, I'm simply not. BUT if you think that somebody who goes to games free of charge and because he has absolutely zero commitments or responsibilities in the world but still only attends the games with the sole intention of slagging off and belittling the players is a good fan then you're even thicker than I or anybody else gave you credit for
Just stop moaning all the time, and enjoy it. We're enjoying one of the best spells in our entire history. I just don't get why you continually find fault with things. We have some of the best players in the Championship in our team, but you don't seem to rate them. To me that says that you've not got a clue about how to judge a player. Have you noticed that nobody agrees with you about our players? Why do you think that is? The number of matches you go to does not entitle you to be abusive and disrespectable to our players. You use the phrase "sh*ts all over our players" quite a lot. What a horrible expression to use about players you are supposed to love. Learn some manners and respect. Some people claim you are a nice decent lad in real life. The BBS is part of real life, so they can't be right, because you're terrible on here. Just enjoy it and calm down a bit. It will do you good.
Have you got the first clue how utterly arrogant some of your posts appear? On more than one occasion you've said you don't read other people's posts. Presumably you don't consider them erudite enough or they lack your profound insight into the game. Yet you constantly post negative, biased, repetitive point scoring rubbish and expect us all to pander to you. We've all been to scores and scores of away games Phil. We've all stood in the rain at grounds at all points of the compass and seen us play rubbish. It comes with the territory of being a Barnsley fan. We just don't harp on about it constantly. I could do if you like. It's just that I don't think anyone else would be remotely interested.
I'm not happy with 12th in December, I'm absolutely ******* delighted. This is not FIFA. We have one of the lowest budgets in the league. It literally is as good as it gets. I've said it before, Barnsley is not the club for you. Go support Chelsea.
Yadder, yadder. Better fan, etc ...... What?? WELL PHECKING MENTION IT ONCE IN A WHILE! ! ! ! ! By who, SYP's finest ? Lost me again there. Because after Championship struggles, admin, financial worries, Lee F Johnson followed by the euphoria of last year I'm just still ecstatic to be back in this league and competing. Can't you be. When I see us in 12th I am beaming. Could it be better? Not by bloody much, no. Using your warped logic in this week of goodwill to all men (Except of course Robbo, CH8 and SSW) then the same should apply to those who watch the highlights package and comment. Cos you've made as much of a berk of yourself commenting on the highlights than you do on your away travels. The only thing that makes any sense is "the club needs all the fans it can get". But with fans like you mate who needs enemies? Happy Christmas
Because it's absolutely brilliant considering our budget. Do you give the bus driver a bollocking if he only gets you there 5 minutes early and tell him he should be aiming for 10 minutes early every time? Do you give your mum/other half an earful because she's only cooked you lasagna, and she should be aiming for 3 Michelin star food? Get some perspective lad.
just one further comment on that - I remember the dark days of the early '70s bottom half of the 4th division. We had games like Altringham every week, my dad says it was even worse mid sixties . I dont see what relevance either have to where we are now. Now is one of the really great times to be a Barnsley fan - like the Clark Hunter or Wilson (1) years it doesnt happen very often and it wont last forever, lets just enjoy the good times whilst they are here and support the team
As an older version of yourself, I remember those days too. It was terrible. The thought of being 12th in what was then the second division never entered anyone's head. We'll never get much higher than this, we've not got enough money. Unless something changes so money doesn't count as much. We're at the pinnacle of what we can achieve, so we should enjoy it because it won't last for ever. It's a pleasure to look at the team sheet these days and to marvel at the quality of players we have all through the team. And some think we should replace a good number of them. What utter bilge.
The ironic thing is that in his beloved and oh so accurate football manager the ******* genius only guided us to I think he said 11th. Basically in the much harder real world we're doing almost exactly as well as the oracle managers in fantasy land
How do you know i'm not enjoying it Stahlrost. 5 years ago now we were a similar position in the league table. Going into a tough period of games. We let things slip. couple of years ago before that and we were in a similar position and let things slip and again in 2007 at this time of year. That year 10? games without defeat at Oakwell. I'm very uncomftable with going into the new year saying things like we've got some of the best players in the league. Now that's a statment that means what? Opinions. Barnsley fans saying we have some of the best players. I've seen most of the teams now Live and the others on TV. Theres a lot of players that have impressed me. Without looking into how much they cost then are they many players better than those at Newcastle? Look at there strikers. Gayle, Mitrovic and Perez. Rafa will say rightly that Gayle offers a lot more than goals and rightly but he's scored 17 this season. That's come in 18 games. Do I think we've got some nice players? yes. WillI get carried away? Certainly not
I've been all over the country watching tarn. That includes the away cage on a freezing cold Tuesday night at layer road, Macclesfield in cup where we got turned over. I can safely say I've been to grounds and seen us against teams you'll have been too young to go to. Mostly it's been a day out spoiled by the result. The rolling over by pampered over paid ****wits when we got relegated v Norwich. I can remember some of the games when we went down last time. I can remember two years ago getting ****ed royally over at Crawley. There were more tarn in the half moon pub than the away end when the third went in. I can remember the cup game at altrincham last year. ****ing horrific. Every player during those spells barring the odd exception deserved every bit of stick and criticism flying their way. Now we have a team that is made up of lower league gems, players deemed not good enough for this league by their original clubs. We have. A team that is holding its own against the debt ridden clubs that are our rivals. We don't want a team that's full of pampered prima donnas like Sloanke who is demanding 50k a week when he's achieved nothing. We want a team that reflects the mentality of those from this town. Hard work, hard graft, sticking together, standing and fighting for everything together knowing that from this the rewards will follow. This is demanded every game, every training session by the management team. Constantly criticising even after turning over clubs with bigger budgets and on paper better players, always looking to belittle players to suit your own agenda doesn't make you a fan or a highly regarded footballing intellect. I've fired more footballing knowledge down sink. It's claimed that off here you are a jolly chap. Couldn't care less. Your actions sum you up to be a grade A* thunderc.unt.
Stats and neutral observers say Hourihane is one of the best players in the league. The funny thing is you would probably rather have Frimpong starting in central midfield.
21 games so far? Is that it? That's a ******* disgrace. Only 21 games? I've been to 22. I'm a miles better fan than you are. We don't want so called fans who've only been to 21 games this season. Go and take your so called support elsewhere. 21 games isn't worth a wnak. You're a pathetic fan. I've also got a 12 inch penis.
I know you're not enjoying it because you continually criticise. Imagine eating a burger with mayo on it, moaning all the time that you don't like mayo, then claiming you enjoyed the burger after all. As regards similar positions in the league table, you're right. That's because for the size of our club it's about the best we can achieve, on average. We had 1 season in the Prem, but apart from that our current position ranks alongside the best in our history. Enjoy it. The best players in the league comment comes from many people inside and outside the game. The people in the game who judge this forget more about football in 5 seconds than you (or I) will ever know. Just accept that your opinions are in a tiny minority. Just enjoy watching these players, because they won't be here for much longer. Will you get carried away? You get carried away every time you post on here. You make the same points over and over again, and today you've admitted you don't read anyone else's posts. Read and enjoy them. You probably won't agree with a lot of them, but at least you would then be able to argue your point from a position of strength rather than complete ignorance. We're a good team having a great season. Enjoy it.
