Slightly bizarre post - I just want the vaccine developing as fast as possible though I would prefer it if it wasnt the USA that got there first as I could see them patenting it and only selling it at a cost the third world couldnt afford. I would prefer it to be a collabarative effort but I certainly dont want Oxford to fail
Countries say they are collusion to develop this vaccine but they are not really it,s a race,a kind of competition to see who can get there first.
Interesting what they see as the biggest problem which they call a frustration not a worry. The guy continues to sound super confident even though others say 12-18 months for one.
First volunteer to get the trial vaccine in the U.K. apparently. Coronavirus: First patients injected in UK vaccine trial https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-52394485
Matt Hancock said if the vaccine works UK folks will get it first. It doesn't read that way in that article though. I doubt politicians will want to prolong turmoil for the UK by letting people abroad have it first. It wouldn't be a vote winner in the future. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...s-50million-game-changing-immunity-tests.html That sounds very promising if in the meantime the experts can try and find out if you can catch Covid more than once. If they could get millions tested and stop social distancing before the end of the furlough extension at end of June that would be massive.
