That's true. There is some real tosh posted on this site on a regular basis. As my dad used to say 'a man who has never made a mistake has never done owt'.
They're just a reflection of football fans in general. Quiet fans, over dramatic fans, bizarre opinion fans, we know them all and they're all represented here. I don't mind it. I remember in one video, I think we were six or seven games into the winning streak and hadn't conceded in several matches at the time, one guy wanted to play four at the back and drop some key defenders. It just makes me thankful the team isn't selected by fans. But it's all fine. Amazing how we all read the game so differently.
Orsenkaht posted a stat the other day that showed this to have been our seventh best season ever in terms of league position. Was it our seventh best ever in terms of flowing, aesthetically pleasing football? Certainly not. They're being knee jerk definitely and there's no doubt some disappointment in their reaction to going out. Nevertheless some people want to see nice football, it's maybe why they fell in love with the game. Other's definition of nice football is seeing a Barnsley win in the paper regardless of how it was achieved. I like art. I like classical art. I think modern art is mostly a con yet, given the value of artworks by Jackson Pollock for randomly chucking paint at a canvas or Tracy Emin for getting out of bed you'd have to say that they're as good at art as Da Vinci or Canaletto. It's all subjective and everyone is allowed their opinion and to seek in the sport that which makes them love it.
Red all.over does my head in though.its just too much, although they are more articulate and it is more professional. Tbf to Tykes tv, they just want to reflect the sort of stuff you hear at the ground, I've really missed " you're a liability Lindsay" fan sat near me during lockdown!
I used to watch Tyles TV a bit, but I just can't watch it at all now. Pity as the main lad seems to put lots of effort in and more often than not is pretty articulate in his comments and getting his views across. But he is but an oasis in a barren desert. Not heard of red all over, but then I don't spend much time on youtube.
I'll have nowt said against them honest bunch of lads giving subjective opinions on Barnsley fc.Luke who runs it is fantastic and very professional. That channel has certainly helped me through lockdown and shielding.
They might be the nicest guys in the world but they've made themselves look like fools here and are rightly being pillocked for it.
Aye, but following the 'mistake' they doubled down, posted it on youtube, then defended their comments on twitter.
Tried watching Tykes TV once. It was a post game review type thing earlier in the season. Had to turn it off after 5 minutes, don’t know if they are regulars or not but a couple of people on there could barely string a sentence together. In their defence I don’t get the allure of ‘fan’ made YouTube footy stuff full stop so probably didn’t give it a fair shake. But plenty of people must do, they wouldn’t exist otherwise I suppose.
