One who was deemed that he needed to be sent out on loan. Smith - which never happened. We then loaned in 2 further keepers before we had to use him due to injuries (poor recruitment) Roberts - yes ok decent. Hourihane another bit of poor recruitment due to the whole fiasco around the player coach farce. ;)

The only incoming ones I have read are the Crystal Palace keeper, who did so well at Wimbledon last season and Paudie O'Connor. If we got O'Connor, I would be delighted - the key player we need. It would be a wrench to fetch the keeper up from Palace, but it is good that we are looking at someone like that, given his amazing record last season. The two key positions for me are an imposing defender (O'Connor is the best on our radar apparently) and a target man striker to play in the middle of a front three. Saydee from Portsmouth might do a job for us.

I've suggested Saydee for the last 2 or three windows in other threads before. Really gives me a sort of Morris vibe. Poor goal record at other clubs but seemingly well liked. Similar sort of profile and skill set too.

Apparently it's Jed Steer whats the done deal.

Yeah I’ve seen those 2 names too. It would appear that we are close to getting Jed Steer in as keeper and the Palace one is going to Huddersfield. It’s about time we had a permanent goalkeeper here.

I would agree on the positions you have mentioned and also say if we are playing with wingers under Hourihane, we will need to get some bodies in for either side.

So it's both him and Bradley then?

Not commenting on the quality of signings, the poster claimed we never sign early, just pointed out last year we did.

If Bradley is the other "nailed on" signing is he better than Richards?
In a back 4 I`d want one of those with someone with legs.
