I think McIndoe's £30m scam of his mates is in a bit of a different league

You must be taking the piss with that one.

If you are being serious, then that ranks as one of the most ridiculous views ever expressed on here. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but yours is just wrong, on every level. Give him a bollocking and move on - really - you think his position is in any way tenable now?. How could his opinion on anything player related ever be trusted again by PC?

I'm sticking with my initial thought - you must be taking the piss.

According to the BBC a spokesman for Wright has denied any suggestion of impropriety.

Read my earlier posts on this subject and you'll see I'm adding a light hearted approach to this unwanted story surrounding the club.

Yes he's been very foolish in meeting these arseholes and being fooled, one thing you need to remember is the media are very very clever in how they can twist things and make things sound a hell of a lot worse than what they actually are. I would loved to have been a fly on the wall to really listen to how the conversations really went.

I'll await further comment from Mr Wright and the club to make a full opinion on the subject

    Fair enough.

Due process and all that, but its hard to refute the video evidence. How many ways can an envelope stuffed with twenties be spun?. How many ways can the words "I'll text you all the names" be interpreted?

Of course it is but it's not the nature of the scam I'm on about it's the fact that some players, especially younger ones are exposed to these ways of thinking and sometimes it ruins there life. I'm not suggesting that Hecky have a go at them all and send them to bed without any supper but that for the ones that are potentially abit more naive that he supports them abit better than mister Wright was trying to do

Yeah, it works like that doesn't it. Its like those tight peasants at the FA, only paying poor Mr Alladyce £3m a year. Who can blame him for wanting more.

    FFS :(

Yes your very right in what you say, only tommy himself will know if what he said was meant to pocket him many thousands of pounds or if he really was just naive in his approach and thought he was doing (trying) some good for the club!

Who knows mate, one thing is is that it's happened and it's how we react to this now

I heard Stan Collymore on 5Live only yesterday afternoon and he said he knew of plenty of people in the game who were up to their necks in it, but most media wouldn't touch the allegations with a barge pole due to fear of litigation. Basically said that the game was in a terrible state and needed sorting out. Ironically enough he made mention of shonky far east business men and their money.

I don't doubt that for a second. But without throwing allegations around that they can pay big bucks to have someone refute, the only way is to do what the Telegraph have done and prove it by catching them in the act. There will be one or two thrown to the lions and then everyone will be able to get back to their cheating ways when the news moves on to another story.
