Time for a reappraisal of Hecky?

No re-appraisal from me I always knew he got shafted & didn’t have a team good enough to stay up.

You can argue who’s been shafted more out of Stendel & Heckingbottom all day but it doesn’t make a difference to the bigger issue which is that we’ve had two excellent Barnsley managers & made their job pretty much un-doable by leaving them with squads not fit for purpose & in particular a strikeforce not fit for purpose. Just not learnt our lessons.

How many other clubs would start a championship season with Bradshaw, Ugbo & Thiam or Woodrow, Chaplin & Schmidt as a front 3? It’s ridiculous.

 

No need to re-evaluate because the facts haven't changed.

Sold down the river in January of 2016. Doing 5 lads jobs. No CEO to work with. Given nothing to work with that Summer and ultimately looked after himself as he could see the tide had turned. Seems like he'd hung around in the hope that the new lot would change what Cryne had implemented and, seeing they wouldn't, got out when he could to an unbelievable opportunity.

The problem back then wasn't the Head Coach and it's not today.
