    I think the approach they've always took is make it up as you go along and pray for a vaccine

    Melbourne is the best example. They had strict lockdown for 6 months. For the past 28 days they've had zero cases.

    Yep. Their refusal / inability to do anything meaningful has been shocking. No support for people that can't afford to isolate, mistaking a call centre for contact tracing, not scaling up NHS lab ability to test (pillar 1), waiting till after half term before calling for a lockdown....

    The idea of local restrictions in a country the size of England is also a strange one, and the restrictions in place in each tier don't make sense.

    How is it safe to go into a cinema in Liverpool, but it's not safe to have 2000 fans in Old Trafford?
