THey just want to allow people to have Christmas dinner together - to prove they aren't being unreasonable. Then they'll hit us with the Lockdown part 3 in January
Following the rules, I can't see my parents over the Christmas period. Our daughter is coming home to us (possibly with a friend who is estranged from her parents) which makes 2 (or 3) households in our bubble, but my parents will have my (single) sister and aunt around so that is their 3 households in theirs. Most families are more complex than allowed by three bubbles. It also means that Stanley Johnson can't see all his kids (6+ households), or Boris (3-4 but nobody seems to know for sure) his - although I expect both to break the rules and a public outcry timed to coincide with Brexit New Year.
Then that is still their choice. People need to take personal responsibility it's ******* ridiculous forcing restrictions on the entire population because the vulnerable refuse to take responsibility for their own life.
