    For those of us who took O Levels 1982, 1984 was one of the English Lit books, along with 12th night and the poetry of Robert Browning.
    I failed with a U on account of making a concerted effort to read none of them (see 'soundtrack to your teens").
    It is still an ambition to read all 3. Holiday reading one day perhaps.
