    Good. We need continuity.

And he's a much better coach than Morais.

I’d like Struber to stay. Clearly we have improved as the season has gone on.

There’s no comparison with Morais. He was crazy and not good tactically, remember the game where we had 5 forwards on the pitch? I can’t remember who it was against but it was bizarre to see. If Struber had McBurnie from that season ,we’d be well clear of relegation right now, in my opinion of course.

I agree morais had a better squad, they both played players out of position. Strubers tactics and subs confuse me at times but I'd be okay with him staying if we go down.

I don’t really know what to make of Struber.

He’s definitely done some things well, on the whole his diamond system has worked & playing Brown & Chaplin up top together with Woodrow behind has worked. Whilst it was evident to me that Brown needed to be used in a forward role as he was the only attacker we’d got who can hold a ball up & win headers I assumed it’d be Woodrow who played alongside him with Chaplin either benched or in a midfield role so I give him credit for spotting that Woodrow could play the no. 10 role as I’d not seen anyone else suggest it.

I also give him credit in recruiting Ludewig & Sollbauer who both look good signings, whilst Ritzmaier could yet be one.

As for negatives I think the continued inclusion of Anderson over Halme was ridiculous, the change should’ve been made weeks before. Also the decision to start Sollbauer in the biggest game of the season at Charlton after he’d had a shocker in the cup at Portsmouth was costly. He could’ve done with a couple of weeks training with his team mates as he was way off the pace & should’ve been sent off within half hour.

I think we’ve got better as the season has gone on but that should’ve happened regardless of manager as the players would’ve gained more experience playing together & playing at a higher level than they’re used to.

For me the jury’s out, considering we’ve got several Austrian’s / German’s at the club & we’ve paid a substantial fee to recruit Struber it’s probably best we continue with him & don’t waste further money chopping & changing if we do go down.

Not necessarily. If Struber feels that the board are fighting his corner, isn't he more likely to reciprocate?

And while the board may have provided some job security, there may be something in Struber's contract that reduces his pay if we go down. If so, that's another reason to fight all the harder to stay up.

Finally, surely no manager wants a relegation on his cv, even if his job is secure.

Surely when Gerhard took the job there was discussion of expectations, By indicating relegation does not mean termination of the job confirms the limited ambition of the owners . Selling and rebuilding again in the Summer.

Jury still out on Struber imho. As it would be on most managers so early in their tenure.

Morais was bang to rights. Accused and unanimously convicted. The verdict: He was ****.

I dont see why Cavare, Thiam, Mcgeehan, Wilkes, Pinnilos, Green, Dougal couldnt have been coached man managed, developed in to being part of this seasons squad.
If it was just a couple i could understandbut these 7 players to be deemed just not good enough and shipped out or not utilised seems to me that something else is not quite right with the way Struber and the board go about things.

in fairness this has been explained a number of times by the club.
Struber wants to work with a smaller squad and concentrate on the players he feels likely to play.
As others have said we have 35 players on first team rosta and if he wants to just concentrate on say 22 (18 in a match day squad), what happens to the others?
I actually think if he’s made his choice then what they’ve done with others is not wrong. People may disagree with the policy but they have chosen it and are following it.
