Mixed feelings personally. If I thought it would make an actual difference I’d be up for it. But I’m not sure if it would. Would possibly have a bigger negative impact on the players.
Don’t start that again. Next door’s bird feed, hedgehog feed on the floor and possibly their decking / shed encourages their rats, and some huge oversized pigeons. We don’t seem to have any. Might be down to our cat being a deterrent. So our deck is all good.
My ifollow account is fcúked anyway, I get an error code every time I time I try to log in so signing up was needed on one site or another regardless and I use a VPN anyway. Don't get me started on my complaints with ifollow, they care about as little as Con-way and co
It’s a good point - imagine having a protest that is negated because noone could stomach hanging around any longer!!
Refuse to buy anything from club shop don't buy refreshments let alone programmes no away matches that will get media coverage if it weren't unlawful I'd suggest a mass pitch invasion on the 80th min claiming its our ground our team Conway time to go .... But that would cause the organiser to get in to trouble ...lol forget I suggested it.....lol
I ant read rest of thread and I'm welling up. What have we done to these owners to deserve this? We work long hours, buy season tickets and merchandise. Have a beer in the ground. This isn't the hi didily Idaho match experience.
This is what I would have done if I had been motivated to watch. The immediate thing we can do, as a collective, would be this type of #NotAPennyMore strategy. Refuse to spend anything that provides income to the club - programmes, merchandise, catering, Centenary Society, raffles etc. That stuff is relatively easy to do at the moment, but the harder choices will come when faced with a season ticket renewal, as this is such an emotional investment. However, if these owners are still in charge at the time then I'm giving up my ST held continuously since 1995. If you want to continue to support the team, buy away tickets for league games, as these funds go to the other club. Similarly, use the other club's iFollow channel to buy access to games. Essentially, this is exactly what Blackpool supporters did, and it worked in the long term. Ideally, ours would be more effective if organised/co-ordinated through the Trust and other supporter groups. Ultimately, I don't see a nice clean solution to this as you can only remove someone if they are willing to go. However, without our continued income then their business model (whatever TF it is) isn't viable to these owners. It also restricts the extent to which they're able to repeat the circumstances of the £750k payment. Ultimately, there may be another administration process involved in the long term solution, but I think we're heading in that direction with these owners anyway. Thankfully, they can't get their hands on Oakwell within this process so the club is protected to sone extent, exactly as Patrick intended. Perhaps it sounds extreme, but the option that is always available to us as supporters is to withdraw our business. They're making it easier to do this with every passing game.
I'm not can we start a go fund me page . Obviously I am joking too, well I am for the moment although if we lose on Wednesday ......
I wonder if there’s a way Barnsley fans could watch the game as a “community” whilst at the same time putting money into a local cause - e.g. Hosted by another local team (Penistone, Athersley,?)
Only if the game was on Sky. You can’t watch a Saturday 3pm kick off in the UK and stream it to a paying audience. Assuming that’s what you meant?
I am watching every ifollow match via an illegal dodgy stream with a VPN based at the following address.... New City Capital, 900 East Hamilton Avenue Suite 100 Campbell, CA 95008 United States. Yes, I know it's quite specific, it takes some setting up, gives a certain satisfaction to know they're shafting themselves rather than us for a change.
Would need to be on Sky. I don’t think a pub or venue can stream iFollow to a large audience for commercial use
