It also doesn’t strike me as breaking up a winning team. Especially when Moncur’s contribution was minimal at best and you don’t know if Green will make an impact this season or not. He’s already on the bench and offers us much greater balance by been a winger than Moncur did

That's the problem. Dunno if they have bought us with a bank loan (shouldn't have the money they have). But if you can get a bank loan to buy a football club you can pay back your loan by selling players and bringing in much cheaper replacements. Then before you know it you've paid off your debt and own a football club without technically spending a penny.

We get that the billions our board have is their money and not that of the club. But it doesn't work the other way because no way will see back every penny we make from transfer sales. Mcdonald was replaced by free transfer Mills. Bradshaw will have covered Woodrow, Dougall and the season long loan of Bahre. Moncur probably covered our Yeovil and FC United lads. We will see what happens to the Potts money, substantial Winkler compensation and whatever is in the club accounts from all our big sell fees and signing on fees in recent years.

Agree CT. As supporters, we have different ambitions to those of any owner/investor.
When the current incumbents came in, they talked of improving the match day experience
and funding a tilt at getting us into the Premiership. I stand corrected, but I don't think for one
minute, relegation was part of their plans last season and I hope that "yo yoing"
between the Championship and League One, is not part of their long term strategy.?
If as some BBS contributors have commented, despite any " business" done up to this point,
our owners will have not made meaningful profit, the only sure fire way they can guarantee doing
just that, is to get us to the Premiership. I remain optimistic that true to their word, they are in it for
the long haul and using a mixture of patience, planned growth and sound business judgement, they are
able to hopefully fulfil that collective " ambition".!!
