    My Wife and I use to laugh at Mary Whitehouse in the 70s-80s. Now when ever we remember the old dear we say how right she was. Moral decline has been shocking since the Swinging 60s.

    That's because you have been attacked with the conservative swing we all get as we get older? Moral decline? Look at life in Victorian London. Underneath the veneer. Further back look at life under Henry the 8th. Prostitution and alcoholism were commonplace. The popular swear words of the day were used constantly. It's easy to look at the age you live in critically. Comparatively the 21st Century is pretty moral.

    To be honest I havent really noticed on TV as I dont watch much these days - mostly sport where unless you can lip read the players you dont get much bad language and the occasional drama where the swearing may be appropriate anyway
