My favourite that SD. Great tune, they are/were a very good band.

Fogerty wrote some groundbreaking songs. The Ramones also covered the track on the OP, which tells you of their influence.

First album, that I have an original copy of is overlooked. Stuff like this.

My 18 year old lad listens to a lot of their stuff .
I didn't realise they had so many top tunes.

Bazza has it wrong. At Birdwell anyway or an error on their site.
Its Clearwater credence revival. A tribute act I assume.
Been and gone btw. Last thursday.

I was wondering when somebody was going to point that out. When I saw the tour advert a while ago I was fooled initially but yes - it’s a tribute act

Creedence Clearwater Revival split in 1972 and John Fogerty has been releasing music and performing solo since.

When I listen to that, I'm reminded of Kurt Cobain's vocal styling.

In fact I just read that his first band was a CCR tribute band, so there you go.

Hey tahh for all your comments, I'm glad to see there's loads of fans still, of the Clearwaters. :)
This one though, hhmm I'm not so keen on, it's a little bit freaky innit! lol.

Yeah NY kid lol, and I've got the Halloween film music, as my current ring tone.
It makes people sit up and get very annoyed lol, when I'm on the bus, and I have it on full volume!.

Many versions of this tune but their version is generally regarded as best

Similar to when loads of people apparently bought tickets for the Red Hot Chilli Pipers not realising it’s a bagpipe-based tribute to RHCP :D

Me too. Got really close but sadly just behind all the flags but the view was still great.
