Im just playing BioShock 1 definitive edition, on the Xbox One, at the moment. And there's an Irish voiced character called Atlas, who is meant to be helping you. But he turns out to be a baddie... and hey lol, spoiler alert here!!. And also hey, it sounds just like Conor Hourihane dunnit.
I'm playing Dune: Awakening at the moment. It's alright. Plenty to do if you like survival crafters and Dune. I'm also eagerly awaiting Arc Raiders in October. The playtest earlier this year was great!
My all time favourite game, incredible! Enjoying Assasins Creed Odyssey atm, there’s something about AC games that’s so enjoyable, even if they can be repetitive at times.
I've played the majority of AC games, most of them excellent, the odd duffer that feels like it's just been churned out. I do like Ubisoft in general, have you played the Far Cry series? Similar to AC in style, just more modern settings. They also made the two Watch Dogs games which are both excellent.
I've been waiting for a certain game to be released. It's called From Fire: Emergence. Like a British version of Resident Evil. Apparently it's only available on Steam, people have played it. But I can only find demos of it and no full game footage. Weird
Hey Ricky, the Watchdogs 1 & 2 games were both included when I bought my first PS4 console. And it seems like ages ago now lol, about 10 years ago. But I found the game to be a bit mehhh, a bit of a Grand theft auto rip off to be honest, with the stealing cars storyline. And As a result, I didn't finish WD1, and never tried playing WD2.
I've got a 3 pack of GTA games, never really played them before. Started on GTA3. Can anyone assure me that they get better because this one is absolutely cack. The others are Vice City and San Andreas.
They are of there time, haven’t really aged well. Should just go straight to GTA V, the next one comes out next May.
Vice City was a noticeable improvement on GTA 3 and when the series really started its current trajectory. San Andreas was even bigger and is a better game overall, but I prefer the 80's aesthetic. The graphics are 20 years old though so you'll need to overlook that.
When GTA 3 first came out it was on the PS2. At the time, it was a a real showstopper, way ahead of its time. I’d definitely play it again, but mainly for the nostalgia. If you play it new now, it’s definitely underwhelming. Tbf, I think all the GTA games have pushed the genre forward at the time of release.
If its the remastered/definitive versions you're playing they weren't remastered by Rockstar so they dont play as good as the originals. Graphics will be better though.
San Andreas is one of the greatest games of all time, on any platform or of any genre. Never played 3.
Vice City has a great cast. I think a lot of the music was removed from the definitive editions because of licensing which is a shame as the music is fantastic on Vice City
Just carrying on here with BioShock 1, and I really want to shut that vending machine clown up lol. Every time he says "welcome to the circus of values", I want to throw summat at the screen!. As for Grand theft auto, I never got into those games and obviously I couldn't understand the hype, and the controversy. Im ok with 18+ rated content, but hey sometimes, maybe they do go a bit too far!.
I've given up on the three GTA games I've got. Had a go at them all, really tried to get into it, but just can't. There doesn't seem to be any real story to it, just endless little jobs to do. I'm on with Gods of War now, played about 6 hours so far, pretty damn good.
Ahh God's of war ehh Ricky lol, that's one series that I've never tried yet by the way. Obviously Im a big fan of Fps games, and I've never really made the effort with role playing, or even beat em up and racing/driving games.
