I was convinced in the middle of the night that I'd got Covid. Splitting headache, runny nose, tickly cough, burning sensation in the back of my nose. Did an LFT this morning before work (we still have to do daily testing), negative. Feel absolutely fine now, so I've put it down to hay-fever.
I thought it might have been hayfever yesterday when I tested negative. I even took an antihistamine which cleared me right up for about 8 hours. I then went downhill rapidly last night and tested positive this morning.
Sorry @JamDrop - I also have it now - tested positive on Sunday but dont think I am as unwell as you just like a bad cold and cough - though Ive had worse colds ( so far as long as I dont deteriorate) No temperature, headache or loss of taste etc - just the cough and bunged sinuses and lacking in energy Hope you are feeling better today.
Thank you, I’m feeling a bit dizzy and nauseous today. Slight cough but definitely not continuous. Hope you continue to feel ok.
when I had covid ,I was put in isolation in the back bedroom and fed on cream crackers and cheese slices, they didnt make me any better but it was the only thing that would fit under the door
When I had covid I also got chest pains, but they were actually small strains from coughing, or trying to stifle a cough. Once I stopped coughing they cleared up a couple of days later. I'm sure you can tell the difference, but anyway I sincerely hope you feel better soon.
You could always try 111 if you're concerned. We did get a consult with a doctor early doors referred by 111 and antivirals were approved... though ironically they arrived by a courier the same time as the ambulance!
Normally; when i have a confused night, followed by headache the next morning, it's usually down to the brandy!
Both me and my wife tested positive this morning. Very frustrating after 2 years of being exceedingly careful. Had a small family gathering (6 of us total) for early mothers day on Friday, so thinking it's probably a result of that. I'm worse than her at the minute (chest pains, somewhat low blood o2, fever, coughing), which I'm thankful for. She's pretty high risk which is the main reason for us being so careful.
Hope your wife continues to stay well and you recover quickly. Chest pain has mostly gone now (though it feels like it’s on fire sometimes) and headache is back but nowhere as bad as on Monday. It could even be because I’ve spent most of the day on my phone. I had a few hours of laboured breathing and blood oxygen levels dipping but seems to be ok now, I just get out of breath when eating but my nose is blocked so it’s to be expected, really. Will’s still testing negative and feels fine. We’re avoiding each other though.
