    I just think he's desperate to succeed. Big Val never looks happy until the final whistle. I might end up being completely wrong but I think Woodgate will do well at Bournemouth. He wanted to play premiership style football with Middlesbrough but the players he had were naff and most wanted out. I hope they finish 6th just behind us.

    i'm biased given that clarkie was my childhood hero and turned me from being a leeds fan to a barnsley supporter
    management/coaching would have been very different in that era, he was an ageing superstar when appointed and his reputation alone would attract players who would sign just because it was him, money would have still been tight then
    even his 2nd spell wasn't that bad considering the economy of our area and the need to budget was probably worse than us now in these covid times

    In his second spell he just missed out on the play-offs and got to two F.A Cup fifth rounds. Not too shabby at all.
