He's paid for his edgy opinions, to be fair one side of the ground is not fit for the prem so he's not totally off the mark.
If Barnsley were to get through the play offs would the Arsenal chairman give a few bungs so that another team went up?
Haha, a Peterborough fan criticising another team's stadium. I'm sure they'll finish in the top 24 next season in such a modern arena, with such a huge capacity.
Its talkshite they say things to be controversial or get a reaction from the other presenter. Nothing to see here.
The state of the West Stand just invites comments like this. We're a sitting target for anyone like this idiot to pounce on.
As Peterboro have got 4 stands better than ours, he's quite entitled to that opinion. Oh, hang on a minute......
I'd prefer he didn't have a leg to stand on though. It's all been done to death recently but all anyone who wants to take the p**s has to do is point to a picture of that bloody awful red brick wall that's basically held together by paint.
Although he's trying to wind Goughy up its all to do with the West Stand again..... every picture where they are mocking us they put that picture up. I hope to god they pull it down if we go up
Anyone remember this from a while back? I love it. https://issuu.com/mattgrimshaw/docs/west_stand_proposal
The club name in big white letters just invites the press to use this view. You have to admit it doesn't look too glamorous does it.
What other two home ends? There's only two ends at oakwell, one is away. Not splitting the north is nothing to do with the stadium and everything to do with poor stewarding. We've got one stand that's not fit for purpose, that's all, one. Painting a picture that the whole stadium is not fit for purpose just because the west stand is isn't just disingenuous it's actually extremely harmful to the future of Barnsley FC as we know it.
A bonkers suggestion from a typical architect who thinks sharp angles are cool, modern and edgy. In reality they're pointless and wastes of space.
Depends if a wrecking ball and a bulldozer count as sensitive. The sooner it is pulled down and replaced, the better. It was no longer fit for purpose 20 years ago.
Fulham is a cracking ground and personally I wouldn't say it was any worse than Oakwell. Been twice in recent years and quite like the hospitality in that away end
