Of course I'm pleased we're doing well. But I'm not going to dress it up as some majesty of attacking football that is remotely comparable to the best football we've played. It's effective it generates points but it's by far the intentionally ugliest football I've seen in my time. My only hope is style evolves and is more attractive. Luton was ok some of the time and Huddersfield was probably the best we've seen in terms of style. But it still doesn't get close to the better footballing sides we've had down the years.

I’m not saying it’s always been the prettiest football we’ve played, but it’s been great watching our young team mature and work like I’ve never seen a team of ours work. We’ve got into team’s faces, dominated them and absolutely bamboozled them. There has been some nice and pretty football along the way. We’ve basically mixed it up. I believe nerves have played a big part in our recent Performances over the last few games. I’ve seen much ‘uglier’ football played by ourselves and others in the past. Really can’t understand your reasoning here

Maybe nerves are a good thing then... the best two performances I've seen for trying to play football were Luton and Huddersfield ;-)
