Didn’t half make me laugh that, last year. It’s as though people are caught out by the start of the new season, something that happens every year.

Not to mention the fact that they have a finance option to spread the cost over 10 months.

They can’t be used any sooner, so what’s the problem with announcing them in January or in July? They’re not used until August anyway...

Some time between now and August. They have financing for about £30 extra total cost, if that happens to be too short notice

Eh? At some point between now and August, the club will want a few hundred quid off you.

If you happen to come up short, you can spread that cost over 10 months, for about £30 extra total cost.

    Could be, who knows.

They sell them until a month or so into the season, so it depends on when you want to purchase

They can't be used any sooner. Correct. So why do we have less than one month's notice to pay over three months before the season starts?

I must have imagined the "early bird".

There was no argument, flawed or otherwise.

I was trying to be helpful by suggesting maybe an announcement is close, 'based off' previous announce dates.

Someone else can debate the ins, outs, rights and wrongs of football ticketing. I've no interest in doing so.

I hope you enjoy the media surrounding any future announcement though. That I am interested in.

Have a superb weekend, with the glow of another great result to warm you lovely supporters.

    You Reds n that.

My last two season tickets were purchased on 4th April in 2018 and same date in 2017, so I'm sure something is imminent. I'd hazard a guess that the budget for the season/financial year is being agreed and that will be reflected in the pricing - assumptions around which division we are in, projected sales etc.

I presume for Sunderland and Huddersfield that season ticket income isn't as vital, as a proportion of total income, due to their parachute payments? How far are Bradford into their multi-year deal, they may not have much to gain whenever they put tickets on sale?

In fairness, based on the last two seasons, I don't think an announcement from BFC in early April could be classed as "usual late" or anything out of the ordinary. Its not really as if we are competing with the other clubs on that basis, is it?

Paul Conway has recently gone on record that they are looking into more imaginative ticketing. I sincerely hope so. It's something I've wanted for a long, long time. It's about time the club stopped seeing everyone as a potential season ticket holder and being reluctant to offer anything else because of it. It just isn't practical for some.

That’s fine, there’s nothing to say you have to buy then though.

Yeah because it's so hard to predict when these pesky football seasons keep ending. Would be much better if they all started and finished about the same time so you had a year to save up. Might put a letter in

I’m guessing the club aren’t only wanting people who’ve bought one before to buy one though. Why on earth would people who’ve never bought one before magically know that’s when they go on sale, the price and when the Early Bird will end? Sure, we all know and it’s been on my mind for about a month but other people who aren’t as aware would probably appreciate more notice. Suggesting finance is something I disagree with too as it costs more but that’s a completely separate point I can’t be bothered with.
