I've nothing against him but I just don't get why he's in the team. Nothing he did last night worked, it rarely does. He plays up top, or near enough, and hasn't scored in over twenty games.
If BFC or any other club had a striker with that record who was still getting picked there'd be hell on.
He plays too far forward to be classed as a midfielder and when he does show up in midfield he has no influence.
I'm not a great fan of Vardy but he looked far more effective when he came on last night.

I’m pretty much in agreement though he’s not a striker as such. He’s picked and tries hard as far as I can see and that’s all you can ask of him as individual. The decision to pick him is the managers. I think Vardy looks out of his depth to be honest in a way that Sterling doesn’t but Vardy is more likely to have end product. I’d pick Loftus-Cheek before either.

Agreed. It's midfield where we're seriously lacking.

In the role he’s been asked to play he’s the best option, he can lack an end product but so does Rashford & whilst Vardy has the end product he can’t link play like Sterling can. When Sterling’s on the pitch England play better because he fits the system.

I couldn’t care less if he doesn’t score another goal for his country as long as the country does well & these set pieces that we’re so great at, have a look at who’s winning many of them
