Yes, I've never seen such a completely choreographed pre-meditated set of cheats. Every foul against them was turned into a full-blown Oscar winning drama. The fact that they were also a very good footballing side meant that the play-acting was as un-necessary as it was vile.
I honestly think that most of us on here could have done a better job than Jose. Anyone who saw that first half at Middlesbrough and the side that he picked knew the writing was well and truly on the wall at that stage. I do not believe we would have gone down had we appointed a seasoned hand to steer us through the relegation dog fight. McCarthy would have been perfect, seeing out time at Ipswich but we did nothing, messed about and appointed an unknown foreign manager, unaccustomed to the Championship, with a poor previous record. In short we missed an opportunity and threw away our Championship status. We now have the opportunity to do what we should have done then, to approach Mick with an offer too good to refuse, to use the appointment of a legend to breathe some life and enthusiasm back into the club and fans and bounce straight back up again I get that some don’t like his style but I like winning more and winning means promotion which I like even more than that. Maybe it is just an impossible dream, many on here seem to think so for a number of reasons, that Mick doesn’t want to sour his legacy if it goes wrong, that he wants to mange at a higher level etc and there may be something in all that. But how do we know unless we’ve gone and made him a serious offer? And if we’ve not done that then we have the wrong people in charge of our club.
One of the reasons Mick Mccarthy won't come to BFC is he is his own man, forthright and speaks his mind. He won't take any sh_t from the hierarchy of the club like other head coaches would do or will have to do. Shame but that's the club as it is now along with many others.
