Of course it is Tomi. But the if you can’t beat them on the e park you might as well laugh at them off of it.
Let me ask if Sheffield Wednesday get any worse and somehow get liquidated. Lose their name trophies and titles and have to start again at the bottom.
Would you campaign for them to retain their honours.
    Please be honest mate.

I can't disagree, in that he will be eyeing a job in the Premier League before long. That will be a bigger test, but they have run away with it. Celtic's demise is a weird one. East Fife doing OK. Forfar not so well.

Irrespective of my hatred of a club from Sheffield. A club is really the fans & all the people that work behind the scenes. People like Rimmo, and loads of others that don't get the credit. The limited company status really isn't related to that. Of course, if they go bust they start near the bottom of the pile, like Bury.

And they might be renamed The Wednesday. Do they still claim all their previous trophies and league wins?

    What f3cking honours??? ;)

Yes, that was my point earlier. They are rivals but they love their club as much as I love mine and they will outlast any set of accountants who might p155 around with their fiscal identity.

I think he is nailed on to replace klopp if Liverpools poor run carrys on or he leaves. It would be similar to lampard at Chelsea with probley a similar ending.

Exactly my point Andy. Rangers were liquidated and reformed as The Rangers who in legal terms had won fk all. So in banter we all like to wind them up saying this title was their first. And being pedantic it’s true.
Tbh if united don’t win anything I don’t care who does. But I’d hate it if Dundee were to win anything because of the banter aspect in the pub
So The Rangers 1 league win.

The supporters do I guess, is what I'm saying. Legally, no.

Barnsley only went into admin, but a new limited company was set up, so if you go into legalities you could chalk off our 1912 FA cup win & our year in the premier league. I don't think any of us see it that way, but it is technically a separate legal entity, so I'm applying balance.

No accepting that John. Barnsley FC went into admin and Barnsley FC are currently 6th in Championship.
Where as Rangers FC won 54 titles but it’s The Rangers who won the league for the first time.

Legally we are in the same boat. The original limited company no longer exists.

Being a Johnny Foreigner, I don't really dislike Wednesday THAT much. It's a difficult question though... Yeah, their fans can be annoying and deluded, but on the other hand it'd be a shame to see all that history go down the drain. I've never understood the "my club is bigger than yours" mentality anyway. You may have glorious history and you may have more fans and a bigger stadium, but that all only becomes a major embarrassment when the present state of your club is a joke.

I don’t dislike them either mate. Same as Leeds and Sheffield United but it’s all banter isn’t it.
Of course I’m a foreigner as well. My dislike is to clubs nearer home who have done my club s dis service.

I’m no Scottish football expert but Celtic have had additional money from regular European football over the years so it must be some kind of achievement to leap frog them to the title.

I think what’s more impressive has been the results in Europe. Both this season & last they’ve pulled off some impressive results against better teams from better leagues.

I’ve always felt Gerrard will be a success as a manager. A lot of managers feel the pressure when all the responsibilities on them but he’s lapped it up as a player for 15 years. For at least 10 of them seasons he was the figurehead for that side. He inspired many average players to cup wins & great European victories against the odds. I just get the impression he’ll be the same as a manager.

Well the Old Rangers did! How they were not stripped of their most recent titles when it was a matter of fact they cheated their way to them with illegal payments is beyond me. They make Wednesday look like Gordon Brown. Bent Barstards.

And no, they are not all the same. There’s was a level of fraud unprecedented.
