He is also on record of saying he wanted to have opportunity to take them back up but it was upto the club. So sounds like to me that it was clubs choice not his.
Poisoned chalice according to the Hearts forum and plenty on there sorry to see him go. Liked the bloke and wish him well, I wonder if he’ll ever manage another UK club or if he’ll return home and that will be it? Surely if Morais can keep finding work in football Daniel should. Believe.
As I wrote, a lot of variables. Just relieved that at least we get to play the season out in the championship.
Feel for Daniel. Deserves better. Hearts should have stuck with him. Sold down the river by our board who flogged anything that moved with a price tag. Facts stand and last season was as good as anything in the past 20 years for the quality of football. Hope he gets sorted with something decent back home.
Apparently got another club lined up so asked to leave. It would explain why their own website hasn't bothered with an article saying he's gone or wishing him the best. I think they are annoyed with him like we were with our own statement when he left us.
Yeah true. Point I was making is during his time in the U.K he's brought about his own demise through having Peter Odemwingie moments.
His record between us and Hearts since our home win to Fulham doesn't make for good reading. Our part of that record included six blanks in 11 games, including a defeat to Carlisle. We were known for being attacking but couldn't score in half the games and lost to a lower league club. There were rumours he was looking for another club whilst managing us and now the same rumour as come out again for Hearts, who unlike our own shambles of a statement when he left us, haven't even addressed it, so something bad has clearly gone down. I hope he doesn't get a reputation as difficult. I suspect now he will look for a club back home in Germany. Played: 28 Won: 5 Drawn: 8 Lost: 15 For: 29 Against: 50 GD: -21
Sorry, but I don't see that at all. It's my opinion he was let down by our board last Summer. Comments from Dane Murphy where he admits the club made mistakes doesn't do anything to alter my view. Then, Stendel deferred his salary at Hearts, which is hardly the act of someone not committed to the club. Anyway, water under the bridge now. For me, Daniel Stendel was a brilliant Head Coach for Barnsley.
I think that if I suspected I’d be getting the bullet from here I’d be looking on the qt as well. Doesn't suggest disloyalty and I still can’t blame him for looking elsewhere whilst he was here. None of us know whats said behind closed doors. That is of course unless you believe every word Hecky tells you.
Laura and George met Hecky the other week down at Greasbrough dam. He was out having a walk and offered assistance with the pram. She was starstruck and declined as she had the code for the gate lock. She felt his warmth though as if it was a hot day on the Transpennine trail with the wind blowing through her hair.
