Point me to where somebody asked that question, or even where they made roughly the same point.

    I’ll wait.

Can’t agree with comment about Leeds, guy before him did better and guy there has done better with pretty much same team, he was just crap at Leeds, no excuses he just was.

He did change things in the way young players are brought through at Leeds.
Hence the number of young talented players now knocking on the door there.

But anyway - this is off topic.
The issue being - Patrick, after promotion from the 1st Division, didn’t take up the options of signing players on better and longer contracts.
The consequences of which was relegation the following season.
Let’s hope these owners have learnt the hard lessons from our recent past.

He didn't have options. They were on their first contracts with us and opted not to renew.
Any options would have been when they first signed when we could have insisted on longer deals. It's then questionable whether they would have signed in the first place under those terms.

Those look suspiciously like facts and common sense to me.

You won’t hear from nudger again in this thread now.

Spot on CR. I recall that Patrick said that new contracts had been offered to certain players but
were refused pending further discussions at some point in that season. I honestly think that
Conor, Watkins, Scowen , Winnall and probably Bree knew there was interest from" elsewhere" and their
agent/representative with their eyes firmly fixed on their possible share of the pot, advised them not to sign.
As a team spokesman, Conor said that if new Contracts has been offered after the play off final against
Millwall and our elevation to the Championship, he for one, would have signed to stay. After Conor,
Mawson, Scowen, Winnal and Bree had gone, Watkins submitted a transfer request because of rumoured
interest from a Premiership club. His request was refused, but it was inevitable that he was going
to go at the end of that campaign. Unless we start to offer competitive salaries for the league we are in,
we are always going to lose our better players, hence our devotion to the spreadsheet and recruitment of
young players with the capacity to improve, so we can eventually sell them on for big money. I'd love it, if for
a change, if we could bring together a squad of players capable of competing for promotion, give them and Daniel
long contracts and resist the advances of any of the teams who show an interest, until we have at least got a like
for like, or a better prospect to come in to replace any we capitalise on.

So because RedStriker also pointed out your blatant hypocrisy in your past criticism of Heckingbottom compared to your man crush now, I’m a sheep for having the same ‘opinion’?

It’s not an opinion. I’m not following anyone - just pointing out what was said before. By you. It’s a fact and a memory, one which you are skirting around because you know to be true.

My post went much further than that as well, including asking you a question you still haven’t answered. Your choice, but it serves only to show you up even further.

And as for drivel - I think you have the trophy for that.

Run along to your next target, someone will generally always bite.

I think we need a disclaimer whenever anyone reply’s to a nudger thread that says something along the lines of “Are you sure you want to respond to this thread? Young Nudger is a troll, he won’t change his ‘opinions’, he only ever goes against the general consensus, even if that means doing a complete 180.”

I'd have to disagree don't get me wrong we played some good stuff when we came up via the play offs last time but I've enjoyed watching this team more. Just my opinion, the pressing style, the one touch passing, never a known a season where we have scored so many great team goals.
He did get a chance at Leeds he turned them from play off chasers to awful. He got 3 wins with them in half a season and one was against us. He did a great job, then bielsa used more or less heckys team for half a season changed the style and had them top.
