    3 day Test now … why not have a “Hundred” test match with 100 overs each ?

    More than 3 days haven’t been needed in first two so it makes for an interesting game as surely both teams will go for a win !

    I’m in Poland for two weeks and have just watched the highlights on BBC4, on my phone. Seems like both teams are playing like a T20 match so three days should be plenty. Some pretty poor shots there, Stokes being the worst, but we shouldn’t expect centuries every time. Brilliant bowling by Robinson.

    Quite a poignant beginning to proceedings listening to God Save our Gracious King being sung. First time I’ve heard that.

    Stokes’ innings yesterday was just idiotic. A session of orthodox batting from him yesterday would probably have us still batting now, and a 100 run lead. Instead he just came out and slogged wildly. No idea what he was thinking, and probably will cost England the series.

    wasn’t the cleverest thing I’ve ever seen. Sometimes there needs to be a voice of reason. Bat for 3 sessions wound have seen us at near enough 300. Job done.

    as it is they’ve turned it into a 2 day test match, SA will try to bat until tomorrow and give us 250 to 300 to chase in 50 overs maybe, if they can we will have a go and be bowled out.
