They are already blocking the access onto the pitch. Fans can just get an extra 6 foot forward. They are designed so that the ones in front of the wall can be removed quickly in an emergency though
Is it not so that both the old signs and new are both visible? EDIT: just looked and the old ones are just white on the East stand, so no. Not that! In front of the away stand both are visible though.
Never mind the touchline along the East, which I’d seen pictures of, and the corner flag, you can’t even see the goal line! I know we don’t sell the bottom rows of the away end but I’m sure the Ponty had a similar view of Corey’s goal.
That’s appalling and needs sorting out immediately. I pay a monthly iFollow subscription for these kind of videos and want my FULL moneys worth!!
Has everybody got their email? Following yesterday’s win against Bristol Rovers, we were made aware of complaints from supporters regarding our new LED system affecting some of their views in primarily the East Stand. Firstly, we’d like to apologise for any issue that this has caused and thank all of those who made us aware, for their feedback. We can confirm that we have spoken to the service provider overnight and the system will be moved further towards the white wall improving sight lines. We are expecting this to be completed in time for Tuesday’s game at Oakwell. Thank you again for the feedback. Jon Flatman - Interim CEO

I’m pleased to see that the club have taken on board the feedback and acted accordingly. Hopefully the situation is remedied before Tuesday’s game.
Club are rectifying this problem for the next match and will email ESL season ticket holders. Good to see problems addressed so quicky https://x.com/barnsleyfc/status/1746527669460557890?s=46&t=maVwlBVh-IrDYvsuBVjM4Q
Hang on...aren't the lowest rows of the East below pitch level? In which case wouldn't moving the boards back make them MORE of an obstacle. (Caveat: spatial awareness is not my greatest attribute)
But why weren't the most basic of checks completed beforehand? Why does the club seem to pride itself on how quickly it can undo it's regular **** ups? And why is that something that they're congratulated on?
Moving it will improve the situation for those sat further back, but it won't help those sat towards the front. In fact, for those closest to the front, it will make it worse.
Some folk. Expecting a multi million pound company to not break rules in the first place. To not block paying customers view of the pitch and to not fault to do basic checks. What am I like eh? Get the firing squad out
How will it make it worse? It’ll improve it for everyone… I get arguing that maybe it won’t help much for those at the front but making it worse is just not possible
