Would obviously get behind him but wouldn’t be my first choice mainly because i think his best years have gone.
If, and it's a very big IF, we're appointing Warnock then Blackwell will surely come with him. If so he has a lot of apologising to do to us to make up for his shameful attitude during the Hume/Morgan business. A lot of bile was aimed at him over that and people don't forgive easily. Could be a tricky one but once we start winning matches again - top of the league by September - all will be forgiven. Such is the fickleness of football fans.
My thoughts too tbh, a Warnock 5years ago or more and I’d have been pleased but have reservations now especially with our current squad and recruitment policy . I’m not so sure Warnock would agree to this or not but maybe a one last payout might tempt him . As with you he’d get my full support if appointed and id be more intrigued than excited at beginning of season but hopefully if he is appointed he’d hsngevmy outlook to the latter .
I’d be very amazed if Warnock was announced as our manager. He’s seems very adamant he’s retired and I’m not so sure one last job in the third division would be tempting for him to reverse his decision. Would be ace though, even if it was just for a season. On a side note Blackwell was appointed manager of a team in Thailand last month.
Be shocked if it was Warnock. He is a better candidate than some names mentioned, best days are probably behind him but his personality is still the same and would get the respect of the players I think. The other big plus would be when it comes to bringing in experienced players. As he is well known people might be more likely to want to come here and join him etc. Very much be a short term fix though, no way would he be here for 2/3 years. Be a year or so maximum I would have thought.
Ps this isn’t inside info, but something interesting got mentioned the other day on talksport. Warnock was supposed to partner Alan Brazil and Super Ally for the breakfast show next season, but he’s since said he cannot do it. Not a single day. There was was a tweet I was showed (sorry not on Twitter) and Danny the talksport director said Warnock couldn’t come on the show as he’s back in the game. Can someone find that tweet? I wouldn’t know where to start. I have been told we have made contact with his people though, 100%. The rest is pure guesswork.
Surely if it were Colin it would have been announced already. They wouldn't hold back on that whenthere's tickets to be sold.
I wondered why SkyBet hadn’t had a market for our next manager, as they always do. But if it is Warnock that’s probably why and makes sense.
Yep agree.. for that very reason. That's why I thought we must be waiting for Cook to finish his season at Chezzy.
Back to back promotion then ....the promise land is but 2 seasons away you reds.. One problem do with call him Neil or stick with Colin lol...
Just thought on could a return for Chris Morgan be on the cards too ....that in its self will be interesting to see what reaction he gets lol
