I give up , you are being pedantic , there are different rules to the game at Oakwell tonight than there was at Bramhall Lane & Goodison park last night , to me it should be a level playing field and its not , so by your reckoning it would be fine to mix matches with var & without var in the championship for example , its a nonsense .

You should give up. you are wrong! ;) there isn't different rules at Oakwell tonight. i wont change your mind so ill step away too but in answer to your question yes. if the clubs agreed to it and some grounds have VAR and some didn't it wouldn't matter because the rules of the competition stated such and the laws of the game were applied by those methods at the time of happening.

You've chosen to ignore my example. Some teams are being protected from poor decisions and others aren't. VAR can correct any 'big club' bias in on-field decision making for example. This isn't currently possible in the FA Cup when the EPL club is away.

apologies if i missed it, you've imagined a "big club bias" scenario there that isnt guaranteed and technically doesn't exist. what if Man City are playing Man Utd and we are playing Rotherham? no one needs this so called protection... but anyway VAR isn't there to protect clubs anyway. its to apply the rules which are already being applied and were agreed to.

Anyways we wont get anywhere it seems :)

We've been talking throughout the thread that Martin Atkinson is more likely to give something tonight to Chelsea than Barnsley. It happens, unconscious or otherwise, there's nothing imagined about it.
