I thought going to the sauna was a tried and tested way to make the weight. Is it a new change to the rules.?
That looks good . I'm no boxing fan but that does look good , wonder what a concert would be like there

QUOTE="dreamboy3000, post: 3460265, member: 6800"]Mark Jeffers fight should be good. He really wants a battle of the roses with Callum to see who's the best in Britain. Be interesting to see what reaction the crowd give him knowing this. Credit to him doing a 9 mile run on his wedding morning and training on his honeymoon.[/QUOTE] They interviewed that Jeffers, asked him about the Barnsley crowd noise. He said I'm not bothered. In fact I hope they boo me. I'll be taking his (Callum's) titles off him soon enough.
Is it normal for the stadium or arena to be so empty during the earlier fights? I don't have much boxing knowledge
Yes. Pretty much. Unless the card is stacked. And obviously this isn’t, in the slightest. It’s all about Callum. For comparison, when Billam-Smith fought at Bournemouth (whatever they call Dean Court now), it was the same. And again, that was all about him, the hometown hero.
Thanks. And a slightly related question. Would it look emptier because it's daylight as opposed to darker in an indoor arena maybe?
Yes, mate. These outdoor, summer stadium fights always look different until the main event (when it’s dark).
The crowd really don’t like the Lancastrian, do they? Chants of USA, USA in the last round and they were singing Only one Callum Simpson at the start as well. I think he’s going to get a hell of a welcome when he appears
