Couple of seasons in the Championship and they’ve become all ‘Billy Big Time’, which really surprised me. The fans I’ve met down there during previous visits have always been really grounded. I know we like to bash the reds, and downplay our chances, but we’re definitely not one of the ‘unfancied’ clubs at the level, as one of their fans describes us. Yeah, we historically struggle on the first day away from home (and yeah, I thought it was all unravelling again when Shep was red carded), but other than that, there’s no reason for Plymouth fans to expect to beat us, as many seemed to do, given their reaction. They’ve just been relegated because they weren’t good enough. It’s not like they’ve got momentum going into the season. Strange lot.
