that's it - the one where you clearly stated that it was posted without 'comment or favour' which sort of begs the question why post it in the first place -
    hey-ho!

From a grammatical perspective I have a problem with the double negative in the later part of your message.

If I may give you some advice - much more effective if you shoot the message rather than the messenger.

I probably comment more on 'non-footy' posts as i only get to attend around 6 games a season because of work. I therefore don't feel i see the players and team enough to form a considered opinion. Saying that i do believe overtly political threads should be moved. Without question it brings the worst out in too many people ( we have even seen this in this thread about political threads).

I didn’t moan at all, I offered what I thought was a possible reason for the front page of the board having a lot of political threads. I also never suggested anything had been condensed, I presumed if there was a thread most people would probably post in that rather than create separate ones. There was a thread for Wigan and Leeds and I didn’t notice whether there was or not during the Forest game as I was watching the match.

If we’re closing threads down for over zealous comments etc then we’d have to shut down the football threads also as it is within most of these threads where the threatening and insulting posts.
A lot is because of the passion for the club but there have been some way way over the top some of which have incurred warnings and bans ,
I’m not sure anyone had been banned for political threads but if they have I’m sure it’s far less than bannedfor football threads .
Why do you feel compelled to open them ?

I take it that was addressed at me?

Well done you, grammatical posturing whilst trying to score a point. All the things you supposedly claimed you were not in just 2 posts, advice of that kind not needed thanks.

If you feel so strongly about the message, and you must as you used myself to form a generic opinion about other messages then I guess it must have hit a nerve. For that I’m quite happy. Hey ho!

What - that you’d think that my original response proved your point? Not sure what you mean here, as it makes sense to me. Obviously not to you, no worries. I’m happy to clarify whatever you’d like.

As a leaver you can’t be objective to what you are reading any more than I can as a remainer.

Your view is that leavers get attacked - I won’t say I’m polar opposite but I read and hear plenty, as much if not more, from ardent brexiteers happy to band abuse at the undemocratic, treasonous and treacherous remoaners such as myself...

And as for making no reference to your leaning in your OP - not directly you didn’t no. But it was clearly inferred, which is my point as to the hypocritical undertone to the point you tried to make. Again that’s just my view of it.

No need for an apology in my eyes though thanks for offering it, I had no intention of attacking or offending, just to point out that I didn’t think you were accurate in your assertion re football threads.

As I say we don’t agree on the Brexit issue - it doesn’t mean we can’t discuss it or that we’ll disagree on everything.

Have you read a different post???
Moving certain topical threads is not removing them: they would still be there but not in the main body of the forum. A one second click would take you there.
I'm sure many people have been banned or admonished for their responses on political posts. I can't recall anybody wishing 'death' on anybody (Redstar, political thread) in a football thread?

No it was definitely your post .
Redstars was in a football post whether you get the point or not there are far more banned from FOOTBALL posts than political .
The fact that admin are considering moving them is fair enough imo it’s the fact that most that have wanted to keep them are mostly the ones who contribute in lots of other subjects .

Dont trial it, just do it, politics can be argued from now till eternity. Its always the same arguments, people start a thread on politics for woteva reason, and before you get to page 2 your reading everything that's already bin said a thousand times before. If you do'nt believe me just go back and read em. Peoples opinions and views will always be respected by me. C.O.Y.R.

Spot on. I've spouted the same stuff repeatedly on different threads. Folly really as the only way we can change something is at the ballot box. Me arguing with Joe Bloggs isn't going to change a thing.

    I’ll second that :D
There’s twenty threads on the same subject and some of the admin tried to place them all in one subject , matchday thread and it didn’t work ,
I honestly can’t get my head round people that complain about threads when there’s just no need for them to open them .
Imo it’s just people complaining for complaining sake ? They must have a miserable life and want to spoil anything someone else has . If it’s a popular thread it stays near the top It’s as simple as that .
Honestly If I open a thread and I’m not interested I ignore whether it’s near the top or not . I don’t complain . Likewise if I see a thread titled something I’m not interested in I won’t open it neither will I complain.
The fact these threads are their is because they are popular and contrary to some posters saying it’s the same old well it isn’t they’d a big variety of posters some not as often as others granted big many still do
There’s more name calling and threats of violence in other threads ,

You said many posts that’s just one , if I could be bothered to troll through I could find loads of football related posts with just as much bile as this .
