Anyway, how did we manage today without our million pound defender Bree?

Was his replacement a comparative withered flower?

Did we cope because our otherwise mediocre defender Roberts put in an against-all-odds one -in-a- million performance to keep The Millers at bay?

    Pray tell.

That's just his way of saying the players he doesn't like should be replaced with premier league teeny boppers he likes to dig up from the computer game.

    Spine my arse...

He'll not be coming to be on the bench. He's better than the striker they've loaned to Bristol and he plays all the time for them.

50K, must be good. They might be paying that or more for Loftus Cheek. These are the best of the best talent in the country. Chelsea don't want them to do a Pogba.

    Quick q's from me @hemsworthtyke ? 3 points:

BBC preview this morning. Hourihane. More assists etc than any player in England since 2014

Comments on here and social media re Roberts. 'Immense' 'collosus' etc.

    Barnsley 4-0 Rotherham.

YOUR thoughts on the above 3 observations please. I'm not one for starting a new thread for the sake of it.

Heckingbottoms made it clear HE WANTS PLAYERS IN.

HES MADE IT CLEAR ANYONE IN WILL HAVE TO BE BETTER THAN WHATS ALREADY HERE.

If they sign a top player he will play above your little favourites. Why? because they are so many times better footballers

Next target then. I've not even seen him play but if he think he's worth £50k a week and thinks he can knock any of our quality proven professionals out of the team without proving it and grafting he isn't what we want.

As Hecky said - this team is not about individuals. They all need to realise it's the team that makes them not the other way around.

The irony n "your little favourites" is somewhat resounding. Capital letters too are not required.

    Match facts
Since joining Barnsley in 2014, Conor Hourihane (28) has provided more league assists than any other player in England’s top four tiers (including play-offs).

Not at all. It's what happens on here.

In Febuary last year I put that Fletcher was better than Winnall. I was told I was wrong by the same names. I think it's clear now who's te better.

It happens. I'll not worry about it.

Why aren't our current players your favorites? I just don't understand why you seem to look for any opportunity to tell us how limited they are and how some goon who is on a premier league clubs books is so much better. Hourihane is the best midfielder in this league and Roberts is a top quality centre half who has been immense since he came back into the side.

Yes we need more players in, we need quality in depth but there is no position where any new player is going to be guaranteed a start. They will have to work hard to earn their place.

I'm happy witht the result but

''Hourihanes the best in the leagues'', a stupid thing to say. He can't GET INTO THE ROI SQUAD OVER CHAMP PLAYERS.

That's without looking at the Newcastle squad for example. Cheick Tiote, Jonjo Shelvey, Vurnon Anita, Isaac Hayden, Moussa Sissoko,

If I was a scout for a rival team, I wouldn't bother watching any players, I'd just come on here and see who Hemsworth thinks are no good. I'd then break the bank to sign those players. Over the last few years I'd have signed Bobby Hassell, Luke Steele, Sam Winnall, Conor Hourihane and Mark Roberts, to name but a few.

Unfortunately, I missed out on Emmanuel Frimpong.

We have a board that, a bit like politics, affords the broadest spectrum of allegiance

Red Rain has his team and formation and his finances.

    HT has his players.

What the rest of us need is a sense of perspective that does not get warped by the posts of either.

Whilst thanking and embracing their care and attention and devotion to our mutual cause.

Try being positive about our players Phil. Give it a go, you might enjoy it.
