Not sure it does. Have you posted how much you enjoyed not going to the match yesterday or that you aren’t going again.

Not been on much although I have stated I'm not happy with events. I didn't enen attempt to go yesterday (I walked it with Fireds lot last time and barely missed a game all season). As for next weekend, I wouldn't have even known it was a Friday match until I logged on here. I am poor, I admit, but am far from alone. The lads (to use your opening line) deserve better, but the owners can reap what theyve sewn as far as I'm concerned.

Agreed. Our club is in the do doo due to poor ownership but we have to stick with the players and management. If too many stop spending it won't be the owners who suffer with their supposedly deep pockets. They will just make up the shortfall by selling even more assets, we will find it even harder to be successful and it will be even harder to get back to where we want to be. Plus jobs would be cut in the club innocent people let go that work behind the scenes.

By no means am I crowing, or in need of a badge of honour. Im just expressing on a board where you express opinions, that the actions of our current owners/ board have led me to the worst state of apathy in 40 years of watching the club. I’ve seen some real crap in that time, but never before has it all felt so pointless.
I support the players, and sympathise with the staff working for a club that appears to have chalked off any aspirations to even compete in the Championship.

Hopefully some of these posts will make their way back to the owners.

They deserve to know that the matchday experience isn't just some beer tents in the car park.

I support the team, not the board, so I'll be going to every home game this season, no matter how bad it gets. But I paid for my season ticket up front. I will not be renewing if these owners are still here come that time. Doing so would be supporting them, it would be sanctioning their decisions and backing them with capital. I won't do that. There's no crowing in that, it will be a decision made in sadness, but I believe it to be the right one. I want a community football club, not a business for people to make money.

I’m going to be oiling the cedar cladding on the garden room. It will be a bit cold, but at least there will be a point to it.

Not really heard anyone blaming the players directly. To a man (not Thiam) they are all super fit and giving everything. They lack quality, can't really blame them for that, we (as a club) wanted them not the other way round.

I'm in exactly the same boat. Season ticket bought and paid for, but I won't be spending anything else till they've gone. Nothing from the club shop, nothing from anywhere. Nothing that give the owners another penny of my money.

Aye, I’ve knocked away matches on the head and getting anything from the club shop or a few pints in the Ponty end before the match simply because I don’t want to give this board another penny.

Im glad the topic being discussed has now become the fans.
Oh yes the fans, those people who turn up week on week and support the the team.............and of course shell out hard earned cash to watch our heros.
I think amid all the..."its about tactics and formations.....no players.....no all the above " are forgetting one key ingredient.....the fans.
Imho the board have treat us with contempt....they want our money but are not proffesional enough to talk to us, when we ask questions about our club. If we had their attitude we could simply not purchase season tickets and they would be short....financially (oooh that word.. now we have your interest board!). Remmber they were bought on the performance etc etc of last season.
They have been arrogant in their perception of what was required at this level, even though they saw this first hand with morais.
I know some fans are happy just to have a club and dare not question our trusted leaders (please dont mention bury and bolton ), i even have a cousin who you darent mention any word of criticism towards anyone at the club....fine.
This is not the way i look at our fantastic club, our suits need to be accountable to us the fans.........im fed up of watching bank ballance united!

As a long-distance and lapsed supporter with slow broadband speeds I'm not sure I can even be bothered to watch Final Score any more. Do I win? Can I have a badge?

I'd love to get behind the players but I'm not sure what difference it would make, other than to my bank balance. They've been backed every game this season, we've sold out the Wednesday, Forest and Huddersfield away ends, taken 1,300 to Birmingham on a Tuesday night, 1,700 odd to Wigan and Preston, had 11,500+ home fans at Oakwell every game. They've managed a pathetic solitary victory, back on 3rd August. It's not their fault they're crap, but I'd rather not spunk another 20 odd quid one watching them making basic errors every 5 minutes. I've seen some bad Barnsley sides but this one is one too many.

Great point. Though if you think about it, in purchasing the club, these owners have also bought us, the fans, and our goodwill.
Buying players with the hope of selling for a profit is always a gamble not guaranteed to pay off. Revenue from sponsorship is variable and not guaranteed. But 10,000 or so returning season ticket holders, us, is the only constant as an income stream.
But in alienating the fans, forcing some/many, as has been suggested by plenty, to consider not spending their money and renewing, next season, then these people have right royally messed it up.

I for one have not "given up on the lads", they are mere pawns in whatever game the ownership is playing. I have, on the other hand, given up on Chien Lee, Paul Conway, Dane Murphy et al!

Think I got your point bright red. I also have no qualms about people going or not. Chose to go or not. But to use phrases like some things are more important in life take the biscuit. Take families for instance. Should be said without thinking not as an excuse for not going when things get tough.

I personally think there’s another badge of honour going round.

From ‘better fans’ who revel in the fact that they will always still go and always back them even when it gets tough. Because they are better fans.

This situation is the doing of the board. They are 100% culpable.

Any criticism of the fans for having legitimate opinions and making choices based on them is unfair.

I have a season ticket. I could probably rearrange work this Friday to finish just about early enough if I rush and miss kick off, and work extra hours Wednesday and Thursday. I honestly can’t be arsed.

I will probably still watch on tv and I will always want the side to win. But I’ve lost all faith in the regime and whilst I’ll attend the majority of home games already paid for I won’t put myself out to put me and the boy through so much frustration and disappointment.

I’d have walked over hot coals to not miss a game last season. The fault for that changing is not my doing. I can’t help how I feel any more than the next man.

The people in charge of this club have a lot to answer for, and their continued absence and silence shows that they know it too.
