why are you thinking I am getting on to Mowatt, he is one of our best players, but tonight is as good as he is, he is a yard short at this level, he try's and will win us games back at our level

‘James helped Mowatt’ that’s getting at him. How is tonight as good as he is, he’s played much better against opposition as good as or better than these. He’s had a quite game tonight but ‘that’s as good as he is’ this ‘yard short at this level’ is all nonsense. None of these things would’ve been levelled at him had he still got more left on his contract.

He needs to step forward though. More to being a leader. I might of been harsh earlier but he's too quiet for me.

    Sollbauer should be captain.

noticed Solbauer stopped shouting orders out tonight as in previous games, maybe just pre occupied with Lowe

James, Mowatt and Kane are all short of pace for the level we aspire to. For me eventually Palmer will be centre stage. The way we currently play we can really only afford one of the aforementioned 3 in terms of team structure because of the pace issue. I think that will be Kane when Morris gets established. In order to inject more pace I would like to see Sibbick given a chance in midfield

Walton is what he is, excellent shot stopper, needs to improve at crosses and his distribution. Once he makes those improvements, we won’t be able to afford him.

I certainly wouldnt want to criticise Mowatt for lack of effort at all. He's a good lad on the pitch and he's a team player. However, although I'm in a minority on here, I have thought for a while that he isn't quite good enough if we want to progress the team. He's 'ok' for me but I want someone who offers a little bit more drive in the middle. He hasn't got enough pace in my book and he doesn't get involved enough even given the more direct approach we are playing at the moment. He's not being carried at all but as I say he's not in any way an outstanding player in this current squad as some on here keep suggesting.

Mowatt no better or worse than the rest. Conceded again just before half time and the second goal a complete **** up. But we have now lost to top 6 sides which tells you something. Mowatt is a good player but lacks pace to be higher than championship level. Hope he resigns soon though.

We bypassed the midfield tonight very limited chances to influence the game
