If this vote is a good indicator we’ll struggle to shift more than 5k. Bleak times…..need a good summer transfer window for sure. Not confident that will happen either.
I'm not going to be overconfident about its statistical accuracy - agree though, based on the votes, and assuming all the nos for the lower sections were season ticketholders this year, it looks like about half will not be renewing.
Not sure this board is a good barometer. Of the group I go with, there’s 8 of us, and the larger group we know which is about another dozen we are all renewing as every year. We support Barnsley and cheapest way is a season ticket. I miss a few through work but still cheaper. I’m as unhappy as most at the decline but it’s what we do. Also helps that I turn 60 in July and had a season ticket continually since 1994 so should be cheaper.
Interesting that nobody has voted for the Conor option despite a few people believing it's a stunt to sell season tickets. I'm currently in the 'no for personal reasons' camp. The likelihood is that it'll be at least £400 again, and I simply don't think I can justify such an outlay in the current economic climate. It'll be sad, given I've had a season ticket every year for pretty much 30 years (I had a half season ticket in 12/13 due to working most Saturdays), but football is just a game, and other things take priority.
My expectation is that sales will be down, but not a great fall. We seem to have these polls every year and commonly the expectation is a large drop in numbers which doesn't quite manifest.
