He does have a point though - need to be a bit careful lifting quotes out of context from a newspaper Its hardly contraversial to say it would help if victor had scored more goals any more than it would be to say it would help if our defence stopped more goals
He does indeed have a point, and he will know I was pulling his plonker. I hope. Loko is after all one of the best defenders at the club.
In our current situation I’d be giving Victor more game time. Not because I think he’ll score many goals .... but because he occupies defenders, and gives a presence that the others selected just don’t. It frees up Woodrow from trying to win balls in the air, and at least gives him a chance of playing off a front man. I thought Victor did ok when he came on on Wednesday.
Sorry Andy but what in Victor's considerable number of appearances at the 2 nd, 3rd and 4th tiers of the game makes you think he's going to go on a run? I'm not saying it never happens...but it almost never happens. I like Victor, he gives it his all but he's never going to be a Championship goalscorer.
That's not defensive? Someone asked why Schopp decided to specifically about Vic. I replied saying 'Probably because he was directly asked about him?'. Think I need a crash course in understanding defensive. Edit: You also got two likes! I'm in shock
I think the likes might be for the winky things and the tongue-out things. Maybe they didn't show on your device?
No need to apologise. Based on a couple of seasons back. He scored in the opening match v Oxford then the week after v Bradford City. Not only was he in the right place, at the right time, he started playing with a smile on his face and I thought it was going to be his breakout season. Sadly, it wasn't true, but he 'just about' deserves another shot at a run. In my opinion.
I'm also one of the best attackers as well. When the time is right. I'm like the ultimate utility player. A Richard Naylor if you will. 21 word statement and all that
I cant get your defence of the Bournemouth game out of my mind that is why I liked it, even though you were bringing a bit of balance to the thread.
I've slept since then and we've moved on to the indefensible recently. But wasn't that more about the squad being threadbare than defending that actual performance? I hope it wasn't the latter!
Ha ha....anybody scoring would be good at the minute! Unfortunately in order to do that we have to be near the opponents box and shoot now and again!!
As I have put before you were like King Canute that night trying to hold back the tide of dissatisfaction on the board. When calling a spade a spade was probably the order of the day. Think I advised you to sleep on it as the incoming was building up and aiming at you.
Are you sure that was me? I'd still use the threadbare squad as a fairly valid reason for the performance being so weak compared to the season before. Was also fair to mention we lose 4-0 at home to them last season too. Hindsight is a wonderful thing though. Fair to say a significant amount of us/supporters questioning Schopp now also thought he might have cracked it with the QPR performance. Sunlit uplands and all that.
